Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA seeks a Registered Nurse to join our oncology infusion team. The role focuses on chemotherapy infusions and comprehensive cancer care, delivering direct and supportive care to patients.

You must hold an Iowa RN license with at least one year of nursing experience; BSN and oncology experience are preferred. Certification in chemotherapy/biotherapy is required before chemo administration during orientation.

Qualifications

• Active IA RN licence is required.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• BSN and oncology experience preferred.
• Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred but not mandatory.
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to orientation/chemo administration.

Responsibilities

• Position will assist with chemotherapy infusions.
• Provide direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for cancer patients.

Summary

• Position will assist with primarily with chemotherapy infusions
• Responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes

Requirements

• Active IA RN licence
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required
• BSN and oncology experience preferred
• Oncology Certification (OCN) is preferred but not mandatory
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration

Schedule

• 72 hours per pay period
• M-F; 7:30a-5p
• On-call rotation every 6-8 weeks after 1 year of employment
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
