Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide quality patient care on day and night shifts under supervision. You will lead the unit, coordinate bedside care, and ensure safe medication administration while maintaining meticulous documentation and collaboration with physicians and families.

The role emphasizes nursing assessment, patient advocacy, staff supervision, and orientation of new hires within the Nursing Department.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing diploma/associate/bachelor degree.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee.
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS & PALS preferred; NRP within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate bedside care and supervise staff on assigned shift.
• Administer or supervise medications, IV fluids, and blood products as needed.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and families; assist with rounds.
• Prioritize orders and ensure accurate documentation in medical records.
• Assist in orientation of new personnel and act as role model.
