Job summary

Under supervision, you will provide quality patient care using the nursing process, lead on the unit when needed, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee; BLS within orientation; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• NRP certification within one year of employment and kept current.
• 3-month probationary period with orientation to unit policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and plan care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate bedside care and supervise assigned nursing staff.
• Administer or supervise administration of medications, IV fluids, blood, and products.
• Inform physicians of patient status and assist with treatments and rounds.
• Assist in discharge planning and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
