Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to provide quality patient care using the nursing process under supervision. You will coordinate with other shifts and departments to ensure continuity of care and safety on the unit.

You will document assessments, care delivery, and communications in the medical record and may supervise other staff on assigned conditions, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee.
• BLs certification within orientation period; ACLS/NRP within one year.
• Experience: N/A; knowledge of hospital policies during probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient assessment and plans care using the nursing process.
• Coordinates bedside care and supervises procedures.
• Administers or supervises medications and IVs.
• Communicates with physician and assists with rounds as needed.
• Supervises nursing staff and assigns tasks by patient acuity.
• Ensures proper disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Maintains documentation in patient records and unit reports.
