Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a 12-night shift. You will provide quality patient care using the nursing process, supervise staff, and coordinate care across units. Call backs and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, medication administration, and discharge planning. Tennessee RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS preferred, and NRP within 1 year are expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee
• BLS certification within orientation period; ACLS & PALS preferred; NRP within one year
• Additional certifications may be required at department’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessment using the nursing process and plan of care
• Document assessments and care in patient records
• Coordinate bedside care and assist with procedures
• Administer or supervise medications and IV therapies
• Notify physicians of patient status and participate in rounds
• Supervise nursing staff and assign based on patient acuity
• Prioritize physician orders and communicate with families
• Ensure proper equipment and supplies; maintain safety and hygiene
