Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN, is seeking a Registered Nurse on the Day shift to provide quality patient care using the nursing process and to lead the assigned unit.

Under supervision of Director and Clinical Manager, you will perform assessments, develop and update care plans, coordinate with staff and departments, and ensure safe medication administration and documentation. Current Tennessee RN licensure and BLS/ACLS within required timelines are essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Tennessee (Board of Nursing) required.
• BLS certification to be obtained within orientation; current certification must be kept.
• ACLS/NRP certification must be obtained within one year of employment and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessment and plan of care using nursing process.
• Coordinate bedside care and supervise other nursing staff on shift.
• Administer or supervise medications, IV fluids, and blood products.
• Communicate with physicians and families; assist with rounds and discharge planning.
• Ensure proper documentation in patient records and equipment checks.
• Lead the unit as primary caregiver or charge nurse on assigned shift.
