Job summary

Hire Consulting Services in Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its clinical leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the ADON will help plan, organize, and direct day-to-day clinical and administrative operations in the Nursing Services Department, supervising charge nurses and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes QA/QI initiatives, resident well-being, staffing, training, and collaboration with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in CT; CPR certification required.
• Minimum two years nursing supervisory/leadership in skilled nursing or related setting.
• Minimum six months restorative nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and CMS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing day-to-day nursing operations.
• Lead charge nurses and supervisors; provide training and oversight.
• Monitor care delivery, medication passes, and infection prevention.
• Participate in resident assessments and care plan development.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and budgeting processes.
• Coordinate with physicians, government agencies, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead QAPI initiatives and participate in surveys.
