Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP seeks a senior leader to guide risk advisory engagements across industries from its San Diego area operations. You will lead client service delivery, shape strategy with a focus on growth, and supervise a high-performing team.

You will collaborate with executives, develop new business opportunities, ensure timely delivery, and uphold rigorous controls and ERM/ SOX programs, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related field.
• CPA or CIA designation required.
• 12+ years in risk advisory, audits, or related areas; experience in tech/real estate/life sciences/financial services/healthcare preferred.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience.
• Proven track record building and growing a Risk Advisory practice.
• Proven new business development experience.
• Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction with a focus on client service and growth.
• Translate vision into actionable business plans and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop sales plans and pursue new clients.
• Coordinate firm resources to deliver high-quality products and services.
• Mentor, train and develop team members with challenging assignments.
• Oversee profitability, utilization, and timely fee collection.
• Engage with client executives to manage risks in business systems.
• Develop deep knowledge of clients' industries through direct engagement.
• Offer strategic advice and implement new controls to address key risks.
• Assess and optimize risk across ERM and SOX compliance.
• Review processes against frameworks and communicate findings.
• Identify, source, and win risk advisory opportunities.
• Produce executive summaries and delivery reports for clients.
• Build relationships and deliver superior client service.
• Lead professional presentations to internal and external audiences.
