Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Risk Advisory Services Principal to provide leadership and strategic direction across risk advisory, internal controls, and SOX compliance. You will work with clients to assess risks, develop strategies, and deliver high-quality services while expanding the firm’s risk advisory footprint.

The role requires a strong track record in building teams, driving new business, and mentoring staff, with significant travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related program.
• CPA or CIA designation required.
• 12+ years’ experience in risk advisory, internal/external audit, business process reengineering, and/or internal controls.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience.
• Proven track record of building and growing a Risk Advisory practice, including building a team, a client base and managing revenue.
• Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management and strategic direction with a focus on exceptional client service and growth.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries through direct client interaction.
• Lead new business development, identify, source, pursue, and win risk advisory opportunities.
• Produce comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for client delivery.
• Advise clients and build relationships to deliver superior client service.
• Lead professional and effective presentations to internal and external audiences.
