Job summary

Akumin is seeking an experienced RIS Team Lead / Manager to design, configure, and optimize enterprise radiology workflows across RIS and PACS platforms. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of RIS analysts, workflow specialists, and integration engineers, coordinating with clinical operations, radiology leaders, and Revenue Cycle Management.

This role emphasizes governance, interoperability, migrations, and ongoing improvements to throughput, TAT, patient access, and claim capture.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional Experience: 7+ years in healthcare clinical applications with RIS and PACS expertise.
• Leadership Experience: 2+ years in a team lead, supervisory, or project management role.
• Deep knowledge of radiology operations, CPT/HCPCS coding, ICD-10 references, and revenue cycle dependencies.
• Familiarity with HL7, DICOM, FHIR, and IHE Scheduled Workflow profiles.

Responsibilities

• Lead RIS analysts and workflow specialists to optimize enterprise imaging workflows across RIS/PACS.
• Manage resource allocation, prioritization, and major system rollouts.
• Govern interoperability, data exchange, and interface validation (HL7/DICOM/FHIR).
• Oversee migrations, project delivery, UAT, and post‑launch support.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in throughput and efficiency.
