Job summary

Yahoo is looking for an experienced analytics leader in Chicago to own revenue analytics, FP&A collaboration, and sales performance measurement. You will oversee pacing, forecast models, and commission analytics, while building self-service tools to speed insights for executives.

Responsibilities include analyzing macro indicators, maintaining forecasting accuracy, and partnering with Sales Ops and Finance on plan health. Strong SQL and Python skills and AI-enabled development are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in revenue analytics, FP&A, business intelligence, or GTM analytics, ideally in ad tech, digital media, or a scaled marketplace business.
• Expert-level SQL and strong Python proficiency; demonstrated experience building or critically evaluating forecasting and time-series models (e.g., pacing curves, ensemble methods, statistical forecasting)
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and analytics workflows, with strong judgment regarding where automated output may be incorrect, misleading, or incomplete
• Experience with sales compensation analytics, including quota, attainment, and commission structures
• Proven ability to generate actionable insight from complex data and communicate it effectively to senior and executive leadership
• Strong statistical fundamentals and demonstrated ability to validate and extend existing analyses and systems, not only produce original work
• Commitment to accurate, risk-aware framing, including proactively surfacing limitations and data gaps
• Self-directed and effective in ambiguous environments, with the ability to move between forecasting, sales analytics, tooling development, and investigative analysis

Responsibilities

• Own revenue pacing and account performance analysis, maintaining detailed trends and drivers.
• Forecast quarterly outputs with an independent, defensible view of expected performance.
• Track and analyze commission performance, quota attainment, and earnings distribution.
• Develop tooling and self-service analytics to reduce repetitive analyses and speed insights.
• Conduct advanced ad hoc analyses on margin drivers, churn, and regional dynamics.
