Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Project Manager (Retrofit Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities for campus-scale projects. You will interact with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers and Operations staff while driving time, budget and quality targets.

The role requires a bachelor’s in science or engineering, 5+ years of data center/construction experience, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in commercial construction program management.
• Experience with Lump Sum, CM@Risk and Design-Build delivery.
• Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel for exec updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, preconstruction and construction activities for multiple data center projects.
• Maintain updated budgets, schedules and status reports for each campus.
• Present program updates to executives and support rapid decision making.
• Develop base-build programs, entitlements and capital budgets for sites.
• Review pay apps and change orders with contractors; monitor costs.
• Collaborate with procurement, design and operations teams across sites.
