Job summary

Busey Bank's Retirement Plan Services team in Peoria, IL is seeking an Internal Sales Consultant to support sales growth and service existing relationships.

You will partner with the sales team on proposals, analyze retirement plans and fees, respond to technical questions, and help onboard new clients while coordinating with external vendors. A Bachelor's degree and several years in retirement plan service are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years retirement plan service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of retirement plan laws and regulations preferred.
• Ongoing industry training and continuing education.
• Retirement plan industry credentials and/or designations.
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
• Experience with various virtual meeting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to receive and respond to proposal requests from prospective clients. Includes participating in discovery calls with prospects.
• Research and examine information for prospective and current retirement plan clients and conduct analyses, comparisons and benchmarking of fees, services and investments.
• Achieve a strong understanding of competitors and position our solutions effectively.
• Prepare and tailor proposal presentations for sales team based on final analysis.
• Respond to technical product and competitive positioning questions.
• Schedule and prepare comprehensive review materials for existing clients and coordinate with vendors.
• Assist with onboarding of new retirement plan business, including compliance items and external vendor management.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, legislation, rules and regulations and communicate them to clients.
• Work with team members to identify areas of policy/process improvements and service levels.
