EyeCare Partners LLC is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician to support physicians in a clinical setting in Traverse City, MI. Responsibilities include scribing during exams, assisting with procedures, and gathering patient history while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

The role requires ophthalmic terminology knowledge, strong typing skills, and teamwork. Certification (OSC) and ophthalmic credentials are preferred; travel to other locations may be required.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of retina-specific ophthalmology terminology.
• Proficient typing with speed and accuracy; strong EMR skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Functions as Scribe for Physicians and may assist with examinations.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments and minor procedures.
• Obtain patient medical and ophthalmic history including meds, allergies, and family history.
• Identify patient concerns and report to Office Coordinator or Physician.
• Measure and record visual acuity and perform preliminary refraction.
• Record intraocular pressures and assess pupillary response.
• Perform basic visual field testing and patient education.
• Prepare patients for treatments; record vital signs as needed.
• Complete Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) as required.
• Instill eye drops and assist with dressings as directed.
• Input accurate procedure codes in EMR and maintain stock in rooms.
• Travel to other locations as assigned.
