Job summary

Associated Retinal Consultants seeks an Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician to support physicians in a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic in Royal Oak, MI. You will scribe for physicians, perform preliminary work-ups, and assist with examinations and treatments.

The role requires ophthalmic terminology knowledge, EMR proficiency, and strong attention to detail. Certification as OSC or COA/COT preferred; travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• COA/COT preferred; OSC certification preferred.
• Scribe certification and EMR experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform ophthalmic scribe duties in a clinic setting.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments and procedures.
• Collect patient medical and ophthalmic history and medications.
• Record visual acuity, intraocular pressures, and basic vitals.
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
• Maintain EMR data accuracy and patient documentation.
