Associated Retinal Consultants, P.C., located in Royal Oak, MI, seeks an Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician to support the Ophthalmology department. The role involves scribing for physicians, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with examinations and minor procedures.

Candidates should have strong ophthalmic terminology knowledge, EMR proficiency, and excellent communication and customer service skills. Certs such as OSC, COA, or COT are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• COA/COT certification preferred.
• OSC certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Scribe for Physicians and perform preliminary work-up of patients.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments and minor procedures as directed by the Physician.
• Obtain patient medical and ophthalmic history including medications, allergies and family history.
• Measure and record visual acuity and perform preliminary refraction and tonometry as trained.
• Assist with examinations and treatments and provide excellent customer service.
