Job summary

Associated Retinal Consultants in Traverse City, MI is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician to support physicians in the ophthalmology clinic. You will perform preliminary work-ups, document findings, and assist during examinations.

This role requires knowledge of retina terminology, EMR proficiency, accurate charting, and strong patient service skills. Training on OCT, tonometry, and refraction will be provided; occasional travel to other locations may occur.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and scribe duties.
• Ability to type accurately and fast with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Scribe for retina-related exams and procedures.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments as directed.
• Obtain patient medical histories and ophthalmic information.
• Measure visual acuity and record refraction preliminary data.
• Assist with OCT and patient education as directed.
• Maintain room cleanliness and stock supplies.
• Travel to other locations as assigned.
• Perform clerical tasks as needed.
