Job summary

Associated Retinal Consultants is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe/Technician in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves assisting physicians, performing preliminary work-ups, and handling EMR entries in a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic.

The ideal candidate has ophthalmic terminology knowledge, strong typing and communication skills, and EMR experience. Certification as OSC/COTA/COA is preferred, with travel to other locations as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician preferred.
• Experience with EMR and ophthalmic terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary patient work-up and scribe for physicians.
• Measure visual acuity and perform basic refractions as directed.
• Assist with examinations and treatment as directed by physicians.
• Ensure accurate procedure coding and EMR entries for all patients.
• Travel to other locations as assigned.
