Responsibilities

• Function as Scribe assisting physicians and may aid examinations.
• Prepare patients and rooms for treatments and minor procedures.
• Obtain patient medical history including meds, allergies and eye history.
• Record visual acuity, perform preliminary refraction and measure IOPs.
• Perform basic visual field testing and patient education as directed.
• Record vital signs and assist with treatments; input codes in EMR.
• Keep rooms stocked and assist with eye drops and dressings.
• Travel to other locations as assigned; perform clerical tasks as needed.
