Job summary

IL MAKIAGE is seeking a Retention Manager in New York City to own end-to-end email and SMS campaigns. You will lead the lifecycle from concept to deployment, manage the creative production pipeline, and ensure timely, well-segmented communications that align with product launches and broader marketing calendars.

You will oversee QA, testing, and optimization while mentoring a creative and content production team.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in CRM/email marketing operations, ideally in DTC ecommerce or beauty/CPG.
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise ESP or engagement platform.
• Strong calendar, deadlines, and project management discipline.
• Experience managing creative teams or production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the full campaign lifecycle from concept through deployment for both prospect and customer audiences.
• Build, schedule, QA, and monitor all email and SMS sends across the CRM platform.
• Maintain send calendar discipline with correct segmentation, content, and suppression logic.
• Partner with lifecycle and acquisition leads to translate priorities into campaigns.
• Own the retention merchandising calendar, coordinating product launches and seasonal pushes.
• Align email/SMS calendar with broader marketing and product calendars to maximize impact.
• Lead the creative production pipeline for retention marketing and manage external resources as needed.
• Establish and maintain creative workflows, timelines, and quality standards.
• Ensure brand consistency while driving testing and iteration.
• Own the QA process for all outbound sends and monitor health metrics.
