Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner that is consistent with company’s core values.
• Demonstrate understanding and compliance with the company’s safe lifting practices standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrate the ability to drive and teach the basic P’s of retail (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing).
• Provide direction to product sales specialists to ensure attentive and accurate customer service.
• Complete all product specialist certification courses.
• Demonstrate understanding of merchandise and installation.
• Ensure merchandising, pricing and organization of the department.
• Communicate SOP direction and changes to associates promptly.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Communicate inventory needs to management.
• Direct and assist processing of merchandise to showroom floor.
• Validate product placement and pricing within department.
• Greet customers in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Process customers at check-out using POS system.
• Process refunds and exchanges per guidelines.
• Present ‘how-to’ classes to customers.
• Follow cash, check and card acceptance procedures.
• Answer telephone per guidelines.
• Stock and tag displays as required.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs.
