Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a trainer for Product Sales Specialists to ensure customers receive exceptional service and accurate product information. The role focuses on developing staff, enforcing safety and SOPs, and maintaining showroom standards.

The position emphasizes leading by example, delivering product knowledge, and coordinating certification courses. This role contributes to a positive shopping experience and supports store operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent education/experience
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core values
• Demonstrate understanding of safe lifting practices and SOPs
• Drive and teach the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing
• Provide direction to product sales specialists to ensure attentive and accurate customer service
• Complete all product specialist certification courses
• Understand merchandise and installation
• Manage merchandising, pricing and department organization
• Communicate SOP direction changes to associates
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification
• Communicate inventory needs to management
• Direct and assist merchandise processing to showroom floor
• Validate product placement and pricing
• Greet customers courteously and assist with product questions
• Process transactions at POS and handle refunds/exchanges
• Present crew/class demonstrations to customers
• Follow cash and payment procedures
• Answer phones professionally
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs
