Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to oversee staffing, hiring, and development while driving sales and service excellence. You will coach team members, manage promotions, and uphold Meijer standards with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires 1 year of management experience, 2–3 years in retail, and strong communication to guide diverse teams through daily operations and ensure excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational store assignments (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Strong communication and ability to guide team with clear direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Experience teaching suggestive selling and leading safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet store needs.
• Promotes career paths and development; involved in promotions decisions.
• Disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink.
• Model excellent customer service and Meijer standards.
• Mentor and coach team to exceed sales goals.
• Ensure training completion and readiness of staff.
• Spend most time in-store communicating with customers and team.
