Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a retail leadership professional to help direct store operations in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. The role supports the store manager, supervises donation attendants, processors and sales associates, and drives customer service, loss prevention and daily cash handling with integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with some supervisory exposure.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Basic reading and math skills suitable for store operations.
• Cash handling and POS experience desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assists the store manager with the overall operation of the retail store.
• Assists the store manager in policy compliance and standards enforcement.
• Performs daily administrative/clerical functions and cash transactions.
• Monitors sales transactions and ensures proper procedures are followed.
• Maintains store appearance according to Goodwill standards.
• Supports enforcement of store safety and security procedures.
• Helps settle customer complaints.
• Provides input for associate interviews and evaluations.
