Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a dynamic retail leader to captain a team, drive results, and enhance community impact. You will oversee donations flow, merchandising standards, and customer service excellence while managing a diverse staff in a fast paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and good judgement in a retail or service environment.
• Clear, effective English communication, both written and verbal.
• Basic math and computer skills including time and attendance, POS systems, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coaches and trains all direct reports in the business unit.
• Delivers exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Manages inventory levels across merchandise lines and ensures quality on the sales floor.
• Monitors donation flow and enforces safety, security and state laws.
• Performs bookkeeping, time and attendance monitoring, surveys and sales reports.
• Maintains effective email, phone and face-to-face communication.
• Gauges market competition and adapts strategies accordingly.
• Upholds presentation and merchandising standards on the sales floor.
• Maintains a safe environment for customers and employees, enforcing safety procedures.
• Follows company policies and participates in special projects and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
