Job summary

Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, Inc. is seeking a retail operations professional to support daily store management, merchandising, and reporting. The role involves supervising staff and volunteers, training, and enforcing store policies to maintain efficient, customer-focused service.

The position requires at least one year in retail operations, a high school diploma, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. A valid driver’s license and insurance where applicable are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience in retail operations.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays; overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist store management with daily operations execution.
• Oversee merchandising: display, rotation, pricing, and inventory control.
• Provide timely sales reports and accurate retail information.
• Supervise personnel, clients, and volunteers; direct training.
• Enforce GIWM procedures and store policies daily.
• Ensure premises maintenance and safety compliance (OSHA/MIOSHA).
• Perform duties of Lead Cashier or Retail Associate as needed.
