Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, Inc. in Georgetown Charter Township, MI is seeking a Store Team Lead who will oversee daily operations, greet customers and donors, and ensure adherence to store policies while supporting cash handling and staff development.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, solid math skills, and some managerial/retail experience. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Solid mathematical skills.
• Some managerial and retail sales experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License as well as reliable personal transportation (personal vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers and donors promptly.
• Assist in implementing and enforcing store policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing accurate daily cash handling and banking procedures.
• Must be fully cross trained in all non-management retail job duties.
• Assume responsibilities of daily store operations in the absence of other management, including but not limited to cash control, employee relations, facility management, and customer relations.
• Adhere to established store hours, and check security of building upon opening and closing.
• To act in a leadership capacity demonstrating professional behavior and decision making, setting an example for all Goodwill employees.
• Maintain merchandising standards in stocking and re-sets, following sizing, categorizing and pricing guidelines. Maintain all backroom operating standards.
• Address and/or communicate customer and donor concerns to supervisors.
• Assist in training and development of staff.
