Job summary

The Paper Store in South Portland, ME seeks a Key Holder to lead daily sales and customer service efforts. You will coach staff, manage the sales floor, and assist with opening/closing procedures while maintaining merchandising standards.

Previous leadership in specialty retail and strong customer focus are preferred. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Ear piercing offered at select locations where applicable.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in specialty retail preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to multi-task while staying attentive to customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Able to work well in a team and lead others.
• Able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. with proper safety techniques.

• Model the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and deliver world-class service.
• Greet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasm.
• Understand customer needs with open-ended questions.
• Explain product features and benefits to customers.
• Suggest additional items to increase sales.
• Maintain store standards and cleanliness; assist with opening/closing.
• Provide coaching to team to improve sales and service.
• Process returns and exchanges; supervise the sales floor.
• Perform ear piercing where applicable and ensure safety (selected locations).
