Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Team Lead to supervise day-to-day store operations, ensure 100% compliance with company policies, and provide leadership and training to the store staff under the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.

In this role you will lead service delivery, manage POS transactions, inventory, merchandising, payroll, and staff development while maintaining a safe, high‑service environment and guiding the team to meet sales and operational goals.

Qualifications

• An approved background check is required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Managerial and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience; reinforce service standards.
• Process all POS transactions in accordance with policy (sales, discounts, refunds, loyalty, opening/closing).
• Inventory control including shipping/receiving, price changes, markdowns, singles, damaged merchandise, physical inventory.
• Merchandising and visual presentation to company standards (placement, housekeeping, signage).
• Payroll control (scheduling, payroll budget, time & attendance).
• Training and development of direct reports; reinforce customer service standards.
• Loss prevention to protect company assets.
• Develop a thorough understanding of day-to-day store operations.
