Job summary

Rack Room Shoes seeks a Team Lead to supervise day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies. You will provide leadership, training, and guidance to staff and step in for the Store Manager when needed.

You will drive sales, service, inventory control, and visual merchandising while maintaining safety for customers and employees. This role may be full- or part-time and requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Provide leadership and training to staff and assist Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
• In the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager, assume full responsibility for all store operations.
• Meet and exceed sales, service and operational objectives.
• Process POS transactions per policy; handle loyalty, discounts and refunds.
• Oversee inventory control including receiving, pricing changes, markdowns, singles, damaged merchandise, and physical inventory.
• Maintain merchandising standards, including merchandise placement and housekeeping; execute promotions and signage.
• Manage scheduling and payroll budget; time and attendance controls.
• Train and develop direct reports; reinforce customer service standards.
• Loss prevention and asset protection responsibilities.
• Gain a complete understanding of managing day-to-day operations.
