Job summary

Intuit seeks year-round TurboTax Retail Experts for on-site roles at TurboTax Retail or Flagship locations across the United States. You will provide full-service tax return preparation, tax advice, and software support to customers, building long-term relationships while expanding TurboTax’s presence in local communities.

Roles are non-exempt, require on-site presence, and involve proactive community engagement, outreach, and collaboration with TurboTax marketing to reach new clients.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with strong tax preparation experience.
• Active PTIN as required by law to file taxes.
• Must possess or be able to obtain related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Must be onsite at a TurboTax retail or flagship location, Sunday through Saturday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content and resources for the community.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.
• Must be willing to wear a TurboTax uniform and work in a front facing retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador.
• Engage with new prospects, nurture leads, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
• Lead and participate in local marketing to make taxes accessible.
• Give hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax customers.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions and plan for the future.
• Utilize government resources and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions.
• Create an exceptional customer experience through professionalism and genuine interest in clients’ financial goals.
• Connect with people to build long-term trust and multi-year relationships.
• Interact with customers in-person and via Intuit’s video tools, addressing inquiries and challenges.
