Job summary

Target’s Stores Executive Internship is a paid 40 hr/week program to develop future store leaders. As a Stores Executive Intern, you will work closely with managers to learn how Target’s retail business operates and prepare for an ETL role.

You’ll gain hands-on experience leading teams, driving guest service, merchandising, and daily operations, with mentorship and growth conversations to help you advance into a leadership career at Target.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our stores in management.
• Leadership skills and team‑oriented thinking.
• Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead store priorities on the sales floor and in backroom.
• Collaborate with ETL mentor and leaders to understand roles.
• Lead daily priorities like stocking shelves and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Provide performance feedback to team members.
• Set goals and communicate with leadership daily.
• Review business reporting and guest insights to identify opportunities.
• Deliver exceptional guest experience and resolve guest needs.
