Job summary

Goodwill Industries Group in Indiana is seeking a Store Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced retail team across customer service, inventory, and sales. You will supervise staff, recruit and train, and ensure adherence to policies while delivering a welcoming shopping experience.

You’ll monitor performance, coach employees, and coordinate all store activities to meet goals. A valid US work authorization and flexible availability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or ability to obtain through The Excel Center.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and hold team accountable.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Flexible availability including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recruitment to build a competent and diverse team.
• Develop and implement training on policies, procedures, and customer service.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching for growth.
• Take disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain standards.
• Supervise all store operations including inventory, merchandising, sales floor and customer service.
• Ensure departments collaborate to meet business goals and optimize workflow.
• Establish safety protocols to maintain a secure workplace.
• Monitor security risks and mitigate theft and shoplifting threats.
• Communicate openly with the Store Manager about operations and challenges.
• Attend regular meetings to discuss performance and improvement strategies.
• Assist in corrective action plans and monitor outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
