Job summary

Family Dollar in Miami Gardens, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, drive customer service, and develop the team. You’ll assist with daily functions, organize merchandise, open/close procedures, and help implement company policies while maintaining a safe, welcoming store environment.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, retail management experience, and the ability to lead and train store associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent movement
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and stockroom to company standards
• Protect company assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe environment for customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
