Job summary

Family Dollar in Hollywood, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training and supervising associates.

The role requires strong communication, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in retail store management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates with the Store Manager.
