Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. The role involves helping with daily store activities, merchandising, and assisting with opening/closing duties.

The position requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. Part-time role with opportunities to lead store associates and ensure a safe, friendly shopping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
