Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager Trainee to partner with the Store Manager in delivering exceptional store operations and customer service. The role offers a path to promotion to Assistant Store Manager with relocation to one of three area stores.

You will lead daily operations, supervise staff, and drive revenue while developing product knowledge and understanding of day-to-day store activities, customer service, and merchandising.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail management experience.
• Outgoing self-starter who enjoys working with people.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Proficient with computer software systems.
• Ability to multi-task, coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to ensure quality customer service and staff supervision and training.
• Direct store personnel to build revenue and meet sales goals.
• Coordinate the efforts of all store personnel to build revenue and meet sales goals.
• Ensure attractive, safe, and accurately priced merchandise displays and floor plans.
• Recruit, train, & develop personnel.
• Be a positive and professional role model for the team.
• Find solutions to associate and customer questions and concerns.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Be familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
