Rural King is seeking a Store Manager in Training to learn day-to-day store operations, customer service, and merchandising under a Store Manager. You will lead associates, drive sales, maintain safety and presentation, and adapt to evolving store needs during a typical 6‑month training period, with potential relocation for promotion.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail management experience.
• Outgoing self-starter who enjoys working with people.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.
• Able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible hours with a 50-hour workweek and varied shifts.
• Must meet federal requirements to qualify for a Federal Firearms License (FFL).

Responsibilities

• Direct the operations of the assigned store.
• Direct all store personnel to build revenue and meet sales goals.
• Ensure attractive, safe, and accurately priced merchandise displays and floor plans.
• Recruit, train, and develop personnel.
• Lead and mentor Assistant Store Managers to daily goals.
• Maintain positive, professional leadership and role-model behavior.
• Address associate and customer questions and concerns.
• Maintain building and grounds and ensure safety standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Maximize inventory control and loss prevention.
• Coordinate with office equipment and retail hardware as needed.
