Job summary

Rural King Farm and Home Store is seeking an Assistant Store Manager Trainee to be groomed for a future leadership role. The role may require relocation to one of three area stores.

You will support the Store Manager in operations, merchandising, and training, while developing product knowledge and leadership skills. Successful candidates show strong leadership, a hands-on approach, and the ability to motivate associates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail management experience.
• Outgoing self-starter who enjoys working with people.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Proficient user of computer systems.
• Ability to lead and train staff.
• Willing to work a 50-hour week with varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to ensure quality customer service and staff supervision and training.
• Direct store personnel to build revenue and meet sales goals.
• Coordinate the efforts of all store personnel to build revenue and meet sales goals.
• Ensure attractive, safe, and accurately priced merchandise displays and floor plans.
• Recruit, train, & develop personnel.
• Be a positive and professional “role model” for the team.
