Job summary

Vans, the iconic skate lifestyle brand, is seeking a Store Manager in Durham, NC. You will lead operations, sales, and team development to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive profitability in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will recruit, coach, and evaluate staff, manage scheduling and store standards, and partner with leadership to execute visual merchandising and community initiatives while upholding VF values.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive results through store teams and exceed sales and profit goals.
• Skilled in coaching, motivating, and building high-performing, diverse teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
• Solution-oriented and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
• Capable of working independently, managing shifting priorities, and meeting business expectations.

Responsibilities

• Drive business performance as the strategic store leader.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences and cultivate an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
• Lead all aspects of people management including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, and terminations.
• Monitor and shape store culture to align with brand values and a positive environment.
• Provide coaching and training in customer service, product knowledge, and operational excellence.
• Manage scheduling, expenses, loss prevention, audits, and reporting to ensure store efficiency.
