Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area is seeking an Assistant Retail Store Manager to lead daily operations of donated merchandise and support the store team in achieving sales and production goals.

You will hire and train staff, monitor budgets, maintain store appearance, ensure customer service excellence, and uphold safety policies. Strong communication, English proficiency, and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Associate degree or related retail coursework preferred.
• 3 years of supervisory experience with 12+ employees in retail, manufacturing, production, or food service preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of donated merchandise in line with policies and budget projections.
• Hire, train, evaluate, motivate, and supervise store personnel to meet standards.
• Meet store sales and production goals through effective leadership and execution.
• Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and safety per agency standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve complaints; participate in meetings and training.
