Goodwill of Northern Illinois is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead all aspects of the retail location, including sales, donations, inventory, and ecommerce readiness. You will drive financial results through sales growth, expense control, and effective leadership of store staff.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, cross-training, and adherence to safety and HR guidelines, with weekend/evening shifts required. Benefits include health, retirement, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ retail experience.
• Familiarity with retail concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Retail & Sales Management: oversee all store functions and merchandise.
• Implements proper procedures for retail operations and pricing strategies.
• Promotes exceptional customer service and maintains an effective store culture.
• Oversees inventory flow, donations, seasonal goods, and ecommerce readiness.
• Maintains store cleanliness, safety, and daily reporting.
• Creates and manages staff schedules; conducts performance appraisals.
• Coordinates with other departments and supports mission programs.
