Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is looking for an Assistant Store Manager - Sales to drive sales and athlete engagement by leading a high-performing retail team. You will coach teammates, implement store strategies, and foster a customer-first culture that reflects the DICK'S brand on the floor.

You will collaborate with the Store Manager on staffing, training, and executing key business initiatives while delivering exceptional service to athletes of all levels.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in retail management or customer-focused roles.
• Experience leading a team and coaching teammates.
• Ability to hire and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Store Manager to develop and execute annual growth plans and forecasts.
• Directly manages a team of Captains and coaches the broader store team for performance and development.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards, drives loyalty programs and customer service excellence.
• Leads training initiatives and creates development plans for teammates.
• Oversees staffing, scheduling, and payroll alignment with budget goals.
• Hires and makes staffing decisions for Captains and hourly teammates.
