Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Sales to lead a high-performing retail team and deliver exceptional athlete experiences on the sales floor. You will coach teammates, execute key business strategies, and maintain store presentation to drive growth and customer loyalty.

You will partner with the Store Manager to plan staffing, training, and performance development, while upholding safety, policies, and brand standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail management or customer-focused roles.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and execute annual growth plans and forecast 90+ days out.
• Directly manage Captains (Supervisors) and influence the broader store team through coaching and development.
• Uphold merchandising standards, drive customer loyalty programs, and ensure accurate product presentation.
• Lead training initiatives, ensure teammates are trained and equipped to deliver elevated athlete experiences.
• Partner with the Store Manager on staffing, payroll, and scheduling to meet budget goals and traffic trends.
• Hire and build strong teams; influence hiring decisions for Captain/Supervisor and hourly staff.
