Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales performance and athlete engagement by leading and developing a high-impact retail team. You will coach teammates, execute business strategies, and foster an athlete-first culture that brings the DICK'S brand to life.

You will grow your leadership career while making a real impact on athletes and your team, ensuring delivery of exceptional service and operational excellence on the sales floor.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
1-3 years of retail management experience or customer-focused experience.
Experience managing a team and driving sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with the Store Manager to develop and execute full-year business growth plans, including forecasting and planning 90+ days out.
Directly manages a team of Captains (Supervisors) and coaches the broader store team to be high-performing and inclusive.
Upholds merchandising standards and ensures proper presentation, pricing, inventory, and customer service excellence.
Leads training initiatives, ensures teammates are trained to deliver elevated athlete experiences, and builds development plans.
Partners with the Store Manager on staffing plans, payroll, and scheduling to meet budget goals and adapt to athlete traffic.
