Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-focused store. You will assist with supervising staff, merchandising, daily paperwork, and deposits, while ensuring profitability and asset protection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings while ensuring policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise with planograms, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory, control damages and deposits.
• Assist in cash handling, refunds, and deposits to ensure store financial integrity.
• Support store operations in the Manager's absence.
• Drive overall store profitability and customer satisfaction.
