Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise, complete deposits, and protect company assets while maximizing profitability.

The role requires responsibilities in stocking, cashiering, and leadership across shifts. This position supports store operations, pricing accuracy, and planogram implementation, with opportunities to develop supervisory experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a retail environment and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training; conduct safety meetings and ensure policy compliance.
• Stock, unpack, restock, and rotate merchandise; build displays according to planograms.
