Job summary

The Gas Spot is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the store manager in delivering exceptional customer service and managing day-to-day operations. You will help create a welcoming environment while ensuring staff development and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities include merchandising, POS sales, opening/closing, and enforcing safety and legal compliance for alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products. The role emphasizes teamwork, shift coverage, and training support.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Basic math skills for orders, cash handling, and inventory.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand 7+ hours.
• Complete required training/certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, leading by example
• Unpack and display stock/merchandise
• Use POS System to sell product
• Maintain a clean and inviting store
• Adhere to federal and state laws with regards to selling Alcohol, Tobacco, and Lottery products
• Open and close the store
• Maintain company security and safety standards
• Motivate and assist with training staff
• Assume responsibility of the store in the store managers absence
