Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory's San Jose thrift store is seeking a Sales Lead to partner with the Store Manager in daily operations, from opening/closing to POS, inventory, donations, and merchandising standards.

You will schedule staff, coach and train employees, monitor KPIs to drive sales and profitability, and ensure security of cash and inventory while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of retail experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store operations, POS, inventory, and donations.
• Cover day-to-day operations in absence of managers; discuss concerns with District Sales Manager.
• Monitor key performance indicators to drive store sales and profitability as budgets/goals require.
• Schedule store staff and conduct daily meetings; manage time and attendance.
• Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and maintain community relations.
• Support Back Room Processing and security of cash and inventory in store.
• Supervise beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place.
