Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring a store associate for our Richmond, VA location. You will deliver friendly customer service, help customers find products, and ensure a fast checkout experience while handling cash to standard.

You will participate in truck unload, stocking, planograms, and merchandise recovery to keep the store well-merchandised and in stock. You’ll support BOPIS/SFS processes, rewards program enrollments, and safety programs while embodying our brand values.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to assist customers in locating products and providing solutions.
• Experience with POS and cash handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout with cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards and private label credit enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC survey.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Maintain merchandise in-stock and handle returns/go-backs.
• Support store recovery and In-Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD sets.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies.
• Interact professionally with customers and teammates; uphold brand values.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
